I saw a bear strip a ‘Lifeproof’ case off a phone once.
Cracked and peeled it like a banana with a single move.
The phone still worked after the zookeepers lured the bear to the other side of the enclosure and scooped the phone out of there.
I guess the case did its job, right?

We’re doing the Bob Newhart thing again today.
If you don’t know what that means, you go get a copy of ‘The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart’ in whatever format you like. I think the original release was on wax cylinder. It’s good, though. Someday, when all albums are sold by instantaneous thought transfer, people will still be like, “Well, I guess I gotta buy the Bob album again…”
I wonder how many lawyers and business folk have to talk out loud to get the sense of the contracts they write.
I talk mostly to give me something to listen to, and keep the echoes in my brainpan from confusing me.

Y’know, it might be EMBARRASSING to just ask. He might have some nervous issues or something. Who can tell, right? The kid’s doctor… or his, I dunno… Parents…

This is my cousin Amy’s turkey. I can’t recall which one it is. It MIGHT be ‘Thanksgiving Dinner”. Yes, that’s the name of one of their turkeys. Their two big domestic turkeys were almost doglike in their desire for attention, and their willingness to rearrange the pecking order when given the opportunity. Very entertaining.
Aaaand if current evolutionary theory is anything to jump up and down about, then THIS should inform us about the look of dinosaurs far more than the grey beasts of old stop-motion educational films.
Ooooh, look- it’s just like staring a li’l tiny T-Rex in the eyes.
A T-Rex with nasty red wattles… which they COULD have had, and how are we to know?
This turkey has therefore ruined my childhood- moreso than all those silly people who claim the new, I dunno, Mr. Rogers movie adaptation of the old TV show ruined THEIR childhoods.
Amy’s some kind of hotshot archaeological scientist, too… so she probably just loves the nasty lookin’ thing.
Bam. Right into the deep end. No problem. Tread water, and tell everyone the water’s not that deep. Right? Right?
“When I grow up, I’m gonna…” rarely ends with “work myself silly trying to find a sponsor that will pay me to compete while wearing their logo” And the few times that it HAS, has given rise to another curious career path: the “Agent”.
Look. Family dynamic, fiscal responsibility, AND skating in the same cartoon. I know, right?
Also… in my head, Hubris’ stepdad’s name is pronounced all French Canadian… “Dah-Vee”. But maybe I’m just not happy with the performance of my retirement portfolio, and I’m lookin’ to taunt some brokers.
