You guys are very patient.
Thanks for letting me have time to go play with my cartoonist pals.

Dr. Shafer was instrumental in getting built what is now Memphis’ best skatepark. It’s an outdoor affair with really good design and very slick concrete bowls. And a 16′ tall skateable steel sculpture. He and his kids should have been in the strip before, but here they are now. Dr. Shafer works at St Jude, where all the best people work.
Fourteen of the In-Fill cartoons so far.
I’d love to say that I’ll pick up the pace, but starting tomorrow, there are more and more cartoonists coming into town for the 70th Annual Reubens Awards Weekend. I’m the only NCS member here in town, so there’s lots of moving boxes and goody-bag stuffing, and long days filled with, let’s be honest here, CARTOONISTS. Ah, they’re a fine buncha Reubens, they are. I’m excited… but I don’t know if the publishing schedule will hold up. How about a couple of updates that are photos of cartoonists?
I can’t tell you how much I hope you guys don’t mind the break in the action with these black and white cartoons. I’ve been wondering where to find the time to do all the fill-in cartoons for the Stanky Creek Book, and it’s a GIANT relief to see them finally hitting the drawing board.
The Book is coming.
So, I’m finally admitting that the Stanky Creek book isn’t going to get done with my regular schedule in action. Which means that cartoons I originally thought would only be seen in the book will make some kind of limited appearance… HERE!
Today’s two cartoons have three (count ’em, three) of Team Us making appearances near the beginning of the book.
And away we go…
Mental misfires. Very hard to put out, once you get into one.
Anyhow, Happy Friday the 13th. You have those where you live? Or is today just another odd-numbered day?
