Thor is really selling it, don’t you think?
Durnell is good at the play-by-play, and Clem does fine with color commentary, but for sheer exuberance, you want Thor on the mic.
Plus, y’know, Australians have those cute li’l accents.

I think the judges have validated Prince Mongo’s belief in his teammate. I mean, The Prince knew she could kayak that course and win, but that’s not the belief that the judges have validated. No, they’ve bought into the idea that anyone at all was involved in what can only be described as the disemboweling of a toy boat.
You see the boat, you hear a name… you witness the unrelenting power of a gazillion foot-pounds of force on some cardboard and tape… and somehow, you feel a little bad for Gaia.
Who never existed, so far as anyone can tell.
It’s weird. Just… weird.
If you thought the Sportsmart board was a little out of touch, Well, the Hometeam people are maybe a trifle more distanced from the workaday world than that.
I’ve decided THAT’s the reason why I felt right, making them look like the aliens in the Star Trek original pilot/Menagerie episodes. There’s no reason to think they don’t know about outdoor recreation, but there’s no reason to feel that they do, either. You wait and see if their world and your world have any similarities upon which to base a conversation.
Hometeam’s board knows about business. I wouldn’t go any farther than that yet.
Wooooeeeeee. “Call the lawyers.”
Gotta be careful saying that out loud. At least, you do when there’s a shyster hiding under the skirts of the stage that you haven’t noticed is behind you.
Tricky, staying on top of things like that.
Just advancing the story a bit, today.
Have I said where the three guys are from yet?
Yes, they’re a parody of aliens from an old Star Trek story, but they’re also… well, you’ll see.
Oh, that’s nice… Pete’s got some friends now.
Or, well, that may be as close to friends as he’s had for a while.
