Here are some more entertaining shots from HeroesCon-  I really should have gone around, I suppose, and gotten photos of other cartoonists and things, but lets face it- We weren’t there to have our photos made.  The Cosplayers, though?  Kinda there for a purpose.  They announced via the P.A. that you were to use common Con etiquette and ask permission for photos, but with the nice crowd of folks that go to HeroesCon, shouting out “Hey! Photo Op!” and waggling your camera with a smile is perfectly acceptable.

Hey!  See how cleverly I worked conventions into the strip today (an EXTRA strip!  Thank you, everyone, who donated using the ‘You & Hubris’ button over there on the left.)

Okay, the space is paid for, the hotel is reserved.  The booth is designed and I’m waiting on all the bits to show up so I can make sure they work.

Here’s the mockup of the new Hubris Booth For Convention Appearances.  Some of you will notice that the backdrop is, in fact, the latest background right here on the site.    Fancy, no?

I’ll be sharing booth space with Charles Ettinger at Heroes, so come by and see us, if you can!

I’m certain that you guys read some other cartoons online right?  Well, can you identify these two hotshot webcartoon characters I saw at Heroes Con?  Can ya?  The costumes are spot-on, and frankly, Sherlock Holmes could give them their names without ever having heard of them before, merely by visual clues.

So- who can tell me the names of these guys?

There you go!  I told you Charlotte Heroes Con was interesting.  And I usually forgot to get pictures of the crazy stuff, so just imagine all the mind-blowing stuff I did without a camera.  Now, make it MORE mind blowing.  That’s how fun it was.  Really.  Take my word for it.  Yow.

So, there I was at Heroes Con.  I hope next year I can be there (and some other Cons) with Hubris stuff.  Would that suit everyone?  Would anyone like a book, a shirt, a poster, an autograph or, really, I’m thinking skate decks would be a cool thing to have, but those are pricey.
