I’m working later than usual, and I’ve got a Mumford & Son song in my head, hence the title of today’s cartoon, but it seems to fit.

Paste had more sugar and caffeine on board than all of them put together, no wonder he had his act together. This doesn’t bode well, Paste being able to rally the troops and give marching orders…
It almost s hocked me outta my chair! PASTE being … mature ?!?
More than just mature. He quickly took note of the situation, decided on a constructive course of action, and then made it happen in a way that didn’t cause any griping or wasted time. He acted like a Leader.
WHO IS THAT, and what have they done with the REAL Paste?
I wonder if Ramon still thinks he’s a poser??
WOW! Paste actually used his brain?
That sure…different.
Not the first time Paste has been ‘different’; recall how he handled Cthula as a result of the way she ‘controlled’ her dog in the store:

Here’s another instance where he once again proved himself a shrewd operator:

Besides which, we get to hear Hubris ‘sing’ for the first — and likely last — time.
Naw, Paste knows that during peace time, the civilians do nothing but squabble with each other. To get anything done, you need to present them with a common enema.
‘Common enema’! Unhygienic, don’t you think?
?
Perhaps, but it got things to move quite smoothly.
I find it funny that folks are at all surprised by Paste’s ability.
He Is Hubris’ brother. Which is to say that the probability that he had a brain that functioned was Always there.
Being reckless, lazy and not giving a crap has nothing to do with a person’s intellect or skill.
He’s just one of those people that unless it’s something He’s Specifically into, he can’t be bothered to act more than a basic lump.
It sure looks as if Paste took his cue from Hubris here:

“Being reckless, lazy and not giving a crap has nothing to do with a person’s intellect or skill.”
True, but the trouble is that many people don’t make (or don’t understand) the distinction between intelligence and wisdom, and that it’s a lack of the latter rather than the former that is responsible for a great deal of stupid behavior:

The proud Mom and Dad smiling and glancing at each other, nice touch, I’ll bet they’re even holding hands.
Good catch.
paste will make a nice ceo some day or an evil counsilor be afraid be very afraid of paste
In fairness, if Paste wants to be rich and famous, it’s better to be large-and-in-charge rather than being a doormat that gets walked all over.
