Now then, they can relive it many times as Kara shot video of a lot of it.
So, inquiring minds want to know, they go back to camp and pack up, or… there’s another chunk of the river to do Sunday… or…. they will be so stiff, peeling, and sunburnt that they won’t be able to crawl out of their tent Sunday?
And…..dddd….. will they sign up for another weekend, soon? Inquiring readers want to know….
OOH I love that. My slight claustro, I will still GO caving!
I can recommend the Jewel Cave Technical, IF they are still doing it; some places were getting pretty damaged when I did it last and I’m not sure they still do it. The hydromagnesite balloon cavern was so worth getting stuck in the Brain Drain and I *DID* fit through the block on the patio. Hint… you’ll go through it face DOWN so don’t go through the block face up. That’s the easy way…. and Comet will not take off the manganese that will stain you BLACK. This is so totally worth it…. and getting booked, you better be caller #1 at 8 am exactly 30 days out or you’re not getting a slot.
Still, this is awesome! #2 which is a dim second, is Jewel Cave candle tour. And there’s lots of other things to do in the area, and you’re not far from the Hot Springs in Hot Springs and the Mammoth Site, and there is the most awesome food joint right next to that.
It turned up at the beginning of this story arc in, I think, one panel. And you’re right, it’s got a sorta Mystery Machine thing going on that I didn’t intend. At the size I draw and color the strip, it doesn’t really strike the eye so much as when it’s been shrunk down to screen-size. I didn’t notice it until after the first strip went up and I looked at it the next day.
“I was just about to break the record for the most skateboard hops in a row while juggling flaming unicycles! And I would have done it, too, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids!”
It looks great anyway! I read this at work when I first walk in to get my fix before i get busy. It must have been one of those days where I saw it but it didn’t click. And to top it off the wife’s shirt makes her look like a female Shaggy!

Hubris: “So, can I sign you guys up for the Extreme Bungee Jump trip next summer?”
“…”
Kara: “Don’t tease, Hubris…”
Kara wouldn’t chide Hubris for teasing; she’d be suggesting rockclimbing maybe…. like revisiting ol’ “Natural Causes”….
They should take the SC family spelunking.

Is this the first time we’ve seen the store’s van? If it isn’t it didn’t occurred to me that it has a Scooby-Doo vibe to it.
