    Poor, Poor Hubris. That’s sad.

Folks, I’m going away for 4 days… I may not get a chance to vote. Please vote (click “VOTE HURBIS” on the right) and help Greg know how awesome he is. 😀

Thank you, Allan! Ten more brownie points, and you earn “#1 Obsessed Fan rank”. Good luck. Safe Travels.

Also, what’s everyone think of the format of today’s strip? I’m kicking around the idea of changing to this. Probably a bad idea, but I like the extra room to fiddle around.

My question to you is this: Is having more space vertically better for you, or is more space horizontally better? If you can find the balance between the fans’ desire and your artistic needs, then go with that. Regardless, I like Hubris in whatever form you produce it. Keep it coming!

yeah, what PWhitney said goes for me too…btw, i still vote daily, even though I am in the hospital…does that make me obsessed fan #2?…*lol*…had brain surgery to remove a small growth around one of my M.S. lesions…am fine and will get to go home maybe this weekend…

    @ AllanVS…Have fun big guy!

Everyone keep Linda in your thoughts and/or prayers depending on your personal bent. Get home, Linda! Be well and all! And thanks for voting!

As for the format- the horizontal is still restricted by the publication format- same as anywhere- but the vertical is wide open. I can stagger panels and leave white space and do all kinds of visual tricks, so long as they’re tailored to the vertical shape.

I got inspired to do better work when I was in Kenosha at the Festival of Cartooning. Hanging out with other cartoonists will do that to you.

I like the longer vertical format. Your muse will lead you to the right format. We fans will be the happy recipients no matter what!
