So, let’s end this silliness of running off to do ‘research’ and keep me at the grindstone seven days a week, people! Be a Patron of this art. I have a new book out, you know. Would anyone like a new book to be part of the rewards packages? You just say the word. I’ll read up when I get back.
Comic
If you haven’t already gotten a Stanky Creek book, NOW would be a good time! Clicking HERE would be okay! (if it asks for a password when you click, try ‘hubris’.)
Or, if CreateSpace creeps you out because you don’t know who the heck they are, click HERE and you can work with Amazon. They don’t deliver with drones yet. But then, the U.S. Postal Service never made much of Missile Mail for a lot of the same reasons.
I debuted the book in Charlotte at HeroesCon, and everyone agreed it looked good. The color is a definite plus.
Get a book! Any time you have a chance to see me, I’ll autograph it and doodle in it and be really, really nice to you for buying it.
Thanks!
I hope everyone’s enjoying this particular storyline. It’s not skating or hiking or climbing or anything, but it is, I think, fun. And I’m interleaving it with the two other story lines… so maybe you’ll get some kinda mayhem that doesn’t stem from Lowell’s issues. That’ll be nice, right?
And so Lowell digs himself in a little deeper. You can guess why he knows enough to have Mal’s computer shut off, and to get everyone into the break room.
Isn’t it nice to see old friends. Who then don’t recognize you. Even when you give them your name and the circumstances under which you met.
And then they throw a plot twist at you.
Yeah, it’s nice.
Lowell thinking. I haven’t checked, but I don’t think I’ve written a lot of that.
Also? Mixed metaphors are really, really hard to avoid unless you’ve got your eye to the storm. The shorthand that we use to tag things in our language lends itself to cut and paste recombobulating. Like an ostrich running it’s race down the roadway of literary baskets full of eggs.
Okay, now I really am back from Charlotte. Sold a few caricatures. Sold a few books. Got some more ideas about how I’m going to do conventions. I’ve also got photos of people wearing Costumes. I’ll try to have those up for you later.
So, as far as I know, I’m back from Charlotte. And hopefully there are a few new Hubris readers today, all relaxed now that they’ve gotten home with all their treasures from HeroesCon, and ready to start reading this new comic strip they found out about, waaay back at table #320 in Artist Alley. Right? Is that how YOU turned up here today? Welcome! You’ve got a little happy catching up to do, then I hope you’ll become a regular commenter because the commenters around here are fun. And some of them are apparently psychic, and know plot twists the very moment I write them down. It’s very unnerving.
