And so Lowell digs himself in a little deeper. You can guess why he knows enough to have Mal’s computer shut off, and to get everyone into the break room.

He knows EVERYONE and EVERYTHING that was going on in that store, this ought to be AWESOME! (getting the popcorn, soda, and beanbag chair to settle in and watch… ahem, read.)

Ya’ll have forgotten that Lowe was promised a payoff for leaving quietly. This may very well get him a very large check. And Hubris IS able to be bribed. Lowe may just get what he wants after all……..
Is Kara responsible for this heretofore unknown Lowell — decisive and commanding? Or was it lurking within him all along, and the little push she gave him was all that was needed to bring it to the fore? This is far from the goofy, bumbling Lowell that we know and ‘love’ and who is so easy to poke fun at. But I think it was always in the workplace that he was in his element and acquired a self-assurance that he lacked elsewhere, so it may not entirely be a ‘new’ Lowell after all.
That said, if he is still harboring a desire for revenge, there’s good reason to feel uneasy, because he looks as if he would be quite capable of setting the place on fire — if not literally, then figuratively. And I’m getting the sense that one will soon ignite.
