Nikki has earned herself a bit of time to wander around the ‘Fest, I guess. Nothing more to do in the store- might as well go and check in on 1) Mayhem, 2) Paste’s weird bunch, 3) Where Bob’s got to 4) the lunacy of the final games of the day…
Come to think of it, the store might have been better than the crazy mess.
Clem’s sure to get some traction with this story.
Of course, he’ll have to change the names of everyone involved to protect, well, not the innocent, but protect him from having to go get people’s permission to put their names in a crazy story that no one would believe anyhow.
Shoes are… not a good award.
Unless you’ve somehow won some Nike and Hoka sponsored race where they have to give you decent shoes in your own size.
And preferably in your own choice of color, ’cause some running shoes look like they’re designed to make drivers on the road swerve to avoid you in case the clashing colors somehow ruin their eyesight or give them acid flashbacks.

I imagine that running a festival of any kind would be like trying to do your taxes in a high wind on a hot day.

The title of today’s strip was shown to me as a rebus. A rebus is not a kind of monkey they do testing on. It’s a picture puzzle. At the time, I was working at a screen print operation, and the other artist on staff was told to be more efficient. He said he’d make a sign to remind him.
It was a big letter ‘A’, and a fish, an ampersand, and a letter ‘C’, if I remember right. I was very amused.
That has nothing to do with anything today, except that I’m amused by Durnell’s idea of efficiency.
Okay, so some of you have already seen this cartoon, what with me posting it two spots out of place this past week.
And I figured I’d pull it out of the wrong place and put it here in the right place, but as long as folks have seen it, we’ll make it a ‘bonus’ cartoon for the weekend.
Some days, it looks like it’d be better to be reading on GoComics, don’t it?
I haven’t done as much with guest judges as I’d originally intended. But this one seemed like fun.
