Do the people who keep setting off fireworks buy too many around the 4th of July, or do they buy extra so they can keep shooting them, or do they get arrested for shooting them on the 4th, and finish shooting their supplies after they’ve been to court, or what?
Nice of the neighbors to share all the sounds of their expensive fireworks, right?
Seriously. Great TV? Lousy reality.
And yet, we still say stuff like “Well, I saw it on TV…”
I guess THAT’s drawing to an end.
For those of us in the States, Happy 4th, the Holiday. For those of us not in the States, Happy 4th or 5th or whatever date it is where you are, which is not a holiday.
And anyone setting off rockets- Use as much care as you’re capable of. My wife used to work in the Burn Unit of a local hospital. I’d like to share with you what a LOT of people used to say when they’d wake in the hospital covered with burns:
“But… I’d done it a hundred times before.”
Be safe, have fun, don’t go to the Burn Unit with horrific injuries.
