Comic
And I’d like to thank the state of cable television today, and specifically the classic TV repeat channels, not to mention HULU online and the rest, for giving the youth of today the chance to understand this cartoon by having the opportunity to watch Hogan’s Heroes.
If you don’t get the reference in the last panel, you need to check you out some Hogan’s Heroes.
When you’re young, it’s an easy trap to fall into- “This hurts. I must have done something to it. Oh, yeah, I fell off a skateboard. I rode into a tree…” That sort of thing. Then, you get a few years on you, and things just start to hurt for no damn reason. Or at least not a cool, fun, reason. “Oh, I have a headache because the flexibility of my corneas suddenly diminished because evolution deems that I should be sabre toothed tiger poo by now and it doesn’t matter if my eyes falter and my knees sound like bubble wrap.”
Not cool.
Of course people are proud of little bronze -colored plastic cups on faux-wooden stands. You EARN those things.
