Do you suppose I’ll ever tell you what Lowell has actually done with Hubris’ old gear? Do you really want to know?
I didn’t think so. More fun to speculate.
New storyline after all the players go to bed and start a new day.
You can never think of those suave and so fisticated retorts when you need them. They only come to you after a bout of self-loathing and a meal. Maybe a nap. And certainly after whoever needed the retort has gone to bed and says he’ll talk to you some other day and to get the heck out of his basement.
I have a LOT of obsolete stuff in my house, in the storage shed, in my studio… I’m a LITTLE concerned that I might be one of the things that’s obsolete. Obviously, my knees are out of date, anyhow.
Me? I’d be fine with their skatepark. I don’t do aerial stuff. I’m pretty comfy down in the bowl, scooting around, keeping my head down…
I honestly didn’t expect this storyline to spiral out the way it has. Back at Charlotte HeroesCon, I was talking with Ronnie Filyaw about where it might go, and at first thought I might try to wrap it up in a week. Maybe two.
As with anything I start to put any thought into, I added new bits, and changed the pace, and foreshadowed new bits and totally forgot about the next storyline I thought I’d be well into by now.
Back then, I didn’t know there was going to be a skatepark in the basement.
I was just messin’ with Lowell.
…
Gosh, I love doing this strip.
Poor Bob. He’s not likely to be able to make the new skatepark work to his advantage. On the other hand, I don’t think a concussion would be that evident in his behavior.
I have the next few weeks plotted out in my head. You guys aren’t going to keep speculating on upcoming events and coming up with entertaining stuff that makes me want to change the course of the story are you?
Boom. There you go. Bet ya didn’t see that coming.
I’m guessing, because I’m writing this four days in advance. Some of you may have guessed ‘skatepark’.
Others may have guessed stuff I wish I had thought of, in which case… Next time, I need you to submit your ideas written in script form two weeks prior to the date the comic is intended to run. I can’t read minds, people.
