Bob. Good ol’ Bob.
People that in touch with the Universe should be respected and appreciated for the simple, connected souls they are.
Instead of being resented for being right and lucky all the time, the darn ol’ bunch of poops.

I dunno about you guys, but I can’t picture an alliance between the Outdoor Galore Store, Ex-Sportsmart employees, and Enis’s Good Sporting adding up to a viable challenge to the cold, calculating machinations of HomeTeam SportStores.
Of course, it might be only because of the people I’m lookin’ at in today’s strip. But, y’know, looks can be deceiving.
Mal better hope he doesn’t get that thing off the ground. He’ll lose a toe or four a second or two later.
Honestly, I have no good reason to have drawn him shoeless. I just felt it made the whole sport look just that much more nerve-wracking.
There’s not much to say about this cartoon. We’re just setting the stage for the new storyline. Where would you like me to boost for Hubris? Are you on any social media you’d like Hubris to show up in?
Were you sick and tired of Black & White comics? Me, too. This is still one of the old original strips that I’ve trotted out, but I colorized it for us.
I like the humor, but I’ve been told it might be too oblique. I don’t recall why I chose to show a mountainside in each panel- maybe to show that they were stalled out and give the feeling that they needed to get moving. Maybe I was trying to blast through a lot of ideas and this one lent itself to a static image better than others. Maybe I was trying to give an impression of isolation on a rock face.
Or maybe it’s what you’re thinking and I was too young and impatient to do something with exciting visuals. I do remember back then being shocked at how much time and effort went into the communicative elements of every… single… panel. I was probably grateful to just draw one and then cut and paste (real cutting and real pasting… with paste) the next two.
