I apologize to anyone who would appreciate me providing Hubris in multiple languages.
The apology is firstly for the fact that Paste’s dialogue must be very difficult to make heads or tails of if English is not your first language, and secondly that I didn’t study enough of any other language to be able to make Paste speak poorly in them, too.
Wooo! Some of you may have noticed my relative silence in the comments lately… the last couple of weeks or so.
There has been a lot going on, but the upshot is that I’ve been out of town for a while.
All of last week’s cartoons were prepared well in advance, for a change. I colored and uploaded them on my laptop while in St Louis, not having had time to complete them before I left on vacation. Then I was more or less out of touch completely for a week solid. Sunday was a 12 hour drive to finally get back home. I realized Saturday, in Dodge City, that I’d better get started on this comic, or it wouldn’t post on time at all.
So today’s cartoon was done in the computer from a scanned-in pencil layout.
I think I still prefer my ol’ brushes.
I’ll post some photos and stuff of the Ocoee trip I made a couple of weeks ago and of the Rocky Mountain trip I just finished. But I suppose I should finish posting the photos from Charlotte HeroesCon first.
It’s been a busy month.
Poor Lowell. He’s got some odd ideas. You may have noticed. He made one friend at Build-A-Bear, and apparently that worked out to plan. You’d think he’d stick to that method, but no, he’s got to try this clever new thing.
Okay, we get it. Women are sick and tired of trying to live up to the media’s version of ‘acceptably attractive’. It takes a lot of time, energy, money and aggravation to look like that, and nobody in today’s workaday world has time for that crap.
On the other hand, it’s a bad idea to ask a guy if he wants to be admired for his body. Frankly, the worse the body, the more emphatically our answer is “YES!” The difference is that we’re not gonna put down the chips, get off the couch and go paint our faces in the hope that it’ll help. Half the time, we’re not even gonna shave.
We just wanna be loved worshipped for who we are. By a supermodel.
