What is a “hypocrate”? Somehow I’d rather be hit by the can or cup rather than get splashed with the soda or the contents of their spit cup, which is what usually happens.
Hypocrate is a rotten misspelling of ‘Hippocrates’, o’course.
Bit o’ trivia: the word ‘hypocrite’ (not related to Hippocrates, so not actually related to this strip, but… stream of consciousness, anyone?) came from the Greek word used for ‘play-acting’ – i.e. a theater actor, one who pretends to be what he is not.
Are those… bullet holes in the road sign ?
Yeah. I live in a part of the U.S. where that’s sorta common.
… OK. I’m going for “at least it’s in a sign and not in someone’s head”. Would have gone for “don’t try to understand, it’s a cultural thing”, but, it’s actually not difficult to understand.
