Here’s an extra Hubris this week to celebrate the GoComics launch. This one should run on Gocomics in August of 2013.

Oopsie!
At least he didn’t put it right under a ceiling fan.
Saw one of those video shows the other day where a guy was convinced he could stick a body part in the spaces between the whirling ceiling fan blades without getting touched. His face, if I remember correctly. I just hope the guy doesn’t survive long enough to procreate. Paste might, though. Have to think about that.
oh boy … that hasta hurt the old noggin.
Can’t be too easy on the ol’ ego, either. Once, the kids were laying down rubber by jamming their bike brakes after getting up a good head of steam. I decided I’d “show ’em how it’s done” and grabbed my brake, too. It’s important to point out here that I had for days been practicing standing the bike on its front tire, and so grabbed up the front brake instead of the back one. Yowp. My back doesn’t hurt any more, but my ego? Twinges all the time.
Is the wipeout on youtube?
I wish. Nah. There was a crowd of schoolkids bunched up at the corner, so I had to contain the spill. I ducked my head, went over the handlebars, and landed on my back holding the bike up so nobody got his head knocked off. Couldn’t have done it in front of a camera if I’d wanted to.
Odd. This conversation sounds a lot like a cartoon I was trying to write about Hubris and Kelly filming a commercial for the OutdoorFest…
An indoor trampoline… what a novel idea!
Yes, they DO exist…
…in large, warehouse-sized spaces.
