I’m sure this is the case in a lot of fields. There are probably really fine musicians who play in various symphony orchestras. And then there are the total hotdogs who garner more attention and whose names become known. There are probably genius code writers crafting wonderful programs who are overshadowed by other code writers with a flair for self-promotion or a knack for working on the high-visibility stuff. Kara, I think, expects to compete hard and be taken seriously. Paste, on the other hand, expects to compete stylishly and teach everyone his name.
But I could be wrong, couldn’t I?
Kara, kicking ass and taking names. Paste, handing out name cards and being an ass. They should be on the same team.
Since you’re the one who tells them what to do, only you know for sure. It does sound right though.
I don’t see why Kara’s upset though. If she came only for the “sports”, she should be okay with the troll taking the applause.
Getting earned applause means people can see your skill and abilities and they appreciate it. Seeing someone get more appreciation for splashing about instead of competing seriously does rub the wrong way no matter how professional a spin you put on it.
Some come to play the game. Others come to play the audience.
I LOVE that the second target still shows damage from Helga’s unicycle toss.
as much as i hate to say this… but in fairness to paste, he’s not a shoddy athlete either though. if you’ll remember back a bit, the guy working for his dad asked paste what he was called & paste told him “el diablo”. the guy (i can’t remember his name offhand) thought it was bunk until he witnessed paste in action.
to say he’s good as/better than kara… dono. but to not give him his due just because he’s a jerk isn’t fair either. don’t get me wrong. i Still don’t like the little twerk. but that has nothing to do with his actual abilities.
just saying
yay…the cult is in town.
