Ahhhhhh, Cartoon Physics.
The same universal laws that had Elmer Fudd pause, hanging off the edge of a cliff just long enough to wave to the audience, before plummeting down a canyon side are at work here.
Okay, guys who know all about this stuff (or who can merrily speculate upon it whether they know all about it or not) If body A is balanced above the ground with a contact point which is, let’s say, an oval measuring two inches on its long axis fires arrow B along trajectory C with a force of D… How many squeaky, sproingy sounds does the foley editor get to make as body A hurtles backward?

Lots and lots, but no more than that.
depends… how many obstacles are there along the way of the body’s trajectory?
You use bullet time. You always use bullet time. This lets you draw out the “sproingies” to fill all available space. If you want, this can give you just one sproingy, but it’s very deep (and masculine) and you can make it as loud as you like. Then you return to normal time as Paste’s face plows into that tree at the end of the shot.
None a crossbow pulls you forward. But not as much fun as bouncing Paste backwards.
Those silly laws of physics.
YEAH-AH!
THERE IS MORE THAN ONE PHYSIC LAW THERE, even for trolls.
I can’t help remembering Police Academy with the grandma sent FLYING for using a BIG GUN!
also, if the troll isn’t eliminated I call FOOL ON THE JUDGES! lol
As the song says, roll with it baby
I certainly wasn’t expecting that.
Your question hurt my thinky box.
Love your sound effects!!
