It’s been said that if everyone in the world thought just like me, there’d be peace.
It’s also been said that if everyone in the world thought just like you, there’d be peace, but that that’s crazy talk.
Or maybe it was the other way around, I can never remember.
Anyhow, this cartoon is for all of those folks who need everyone to think the same in order to be happy.
There was a study mentioned in the news a few weeks ago that many women are attracted to men that have the same traits as their fathers. Kara would seem to be a counter-example.
Mr. Biner ain’t jiggy wit’ dat.
Oh. They finally did a Study… as though disgruntled boyfriends the world over hadn’t worked that out a few thousand years ago. Well, it’s nice they can codify it for us. As for Kara being a counter-example… it depends on what traits she (and we) are aware of.
I think Mr. Biner is going to disagree with you about that…
Doesn´t make me happy at all. Just don´t know whether to be bored or punched.
well all i can say to this arc is.
Yeesh Americans and their Guns
Oh, yeah. Watch the comments. Things are going to get… weird. I hope I’m not (metaphorically) shooting myself in the foot (get it? Subtle.) with this particular arc. People are going to get very vocal about stuff I’m not even talking about in this arc. I’ve noticed that caliber of weapon has already been introduced into the comments. I knew that was coming. Heck, there’s a gag in the works dealing with it, it’s so predictable. So, sit back, don’t get dragged into side arguments, and enjoy the funny drawings.
yes Kara does admit that Hubris is not like her father. and that is one of the reasons she is attracted to him. hope good thing Hubris doesn’t have any guns around or mr. biner could go postal on him dating his daughter.
That’s just it, Mr. Biner has no intention of going postal. He just wants Hubris to show similar interests. Biner loves watching football on TV, drinking beer and working on his car (not that he’s very GOOD about working on his car). All he wants is to go to the firing range and shoot targets, and he wants Hubris to join him in this activity. In several ways, Biner is a lot like my father (except that my dad hasn’t bothered trying to “fix” his car in decades). My dad loves hunting and target practice, and would get along with Biner just fine.
“Can’t we all just get along?” –Limbo (Paul Giamatti), “Planet of the Apes”
Actually, the great majority of us gun owners would never consider shooting someone unless it was to protect our own lives. Mr. Biner doesn’t look that threatening, just intimidating.
My dad needed a son in the worst way. He ended up with me, and at least the last time I checked, I was still a daughter. What I brought home he had to settle for as a son-in-law; and they weren’t much alike other than both being guys. No needing to do football, beer, male bonding or target practice though.
Poor Kara; now is the time for Hubris to strike, and convert Mr. Biner to paintball. That is more than just target practice.
Remember if a customer wants to buy something, bring it in. Good business practice.
Sure, paintball war. Kara & Dad vs. Hubris & Mrs. Biner (who is conspicuously absent in these panels.)
Not Mrs. Biner’s style. She’d rather sit in a evening gown in a 4-star restaurant and disapprovingly peal the crusts off the dinner rolls while giving little sniffs in Hubris’ direction.
Unless her first name is Kar…
She didn’t quite come across as that style, but. If it is a place that isn’t decorated in moose antlers OR sells kids meals in boxes with a toy; she is probably happy just to go out to eat.
