You know, they don’t. When drunk office workers want to sober up before going home, instead of eating greasy burgers, they gobble down a bowl of cheap greasy ramen. Any ramen will do, so it’s not like there’s a White Castle-version of a ramen chain here, either. These people have no idea what they’re missing out on here…
However, they do have a lot of burger chains. Along with McDonalds and Burger King, there’s MOS Burger, Freshness Burger, Lotteria and First Kitchen. As for the last one, there’s a common joke among foreigners here that, because the Japanese shorten all English words (Personal computer = pasocon, hamburger = hamburg, software = softo), First Kitchen is also shortened to “Fa + Kin” (pronounced “fah” and “keen”). So, the jokes go, people here like to go FaKin to get a FaKin burger.
Happy Birthday, Allan!
Happy Birthday to You!
It’s nice they let you out
for a day from the zoo!
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!
Meh.
Greg: The dogs up here in Toronto started howling around 9:30 yesterday morning … not just one or three … but ALL of ’em … didn’t you mention in days past, that you have a horrible voice? 😀 j/k
THANKS EVERYONE! APPRECIATE the well wishes if not the singing. 😉
Good thing Hubris’ place is concrete and use a garden hose cleanable…
Either the crowd relocated from the TV station to the house because Paste wanted a party, or someone needed a place to crash for a while…
I was going to say something but zzzz………
Slider Hut? What is it, where is it? I may wanna go today on my birthday and try it out.
White Castle?
White Castle, Krystal’s… It depends on where you are in the world. Do they have a slider-style burger joint in Japan? If so, we need a name.
Dang, I could go for a couple of White Castle Belly Bombers now! Arrgh! Thanks NOT you dudes!

I’ve got ice cold water and Mio. Will that suffice? 😀
Depends on what sweetener’s in the Mio… (the curse of getting older, your body starts fighting back over what you put in it)
Happy birthday Allan.
