It’s been a loooong weekend. 25th wedding anniversary, oldest son home from college for fall break, sister-in-law back in town for a while, and the biggest job with the tightest deadlines I’ve had in years to be wrangled. Oooooh, you’re so lucky to have this Hubris cartoon, you are.

Considering that I describe my 10-month-old’s standard diet as “protein paste smeared on grains with veggies on the side”, I’d totally describe dahl as lentil paste. (Other forms of paste include peanut butter, and chicken baby food, which makes a pretty decent sandwich, if you add pepper.)
He did get a chunk of turkey too though, don’t worry.
