I recently was pulled across a room to meet someone who would be in charge of a street party. We were introduced by the publisher of the ninja comic I worked on recently, and thought it might have something to do with that. On the other hand- street party at a famous intersection in town. Probably a caricature gig, as those always go over well at public events.
No. I was asked if I juggled, since I am known to ride a unicycle. I explained that I don’t juggle, and I ride a unicycle on trails- riding them in crowds is very different. Falling down on tree roots is one thing. Falling down on baby strollers quite another.
On the other hand- if I COULD do that stuff, I’d be all over street fairs, jack. Mmmmm, yeah. Juggling chainsaws and passing the hat.
Well it’s amazing Kara can juggle. I can occasionally keep a few things aloft for a short bit (three)… I can respect what she’s doing there. Wowzers.
And she trusts Hubris not to hit the microscopic bit and have to bail fast.
I’d marry them at the top of the climbing tower, I really would.
I don’t have the coordination for juggling or riding a unicycle. I’ve tried each. I couldn’t even come close to juggling while riding a unicycle.
While I was on vacation I had watched a juggler lure in the crowd and get them to take part and try juggling themselves. Watched a guy give up after his wife put him to shame by going ham with some devil sticks.
I took two years to get where I could make my left arm do that “scoop” action for juggling. I can still do it, but I need 20-30 minutes for warm-up.
If you’re not careful, you’re gonna get cork-screwed.
I spent a long time with one of those narrow tall ‘couch tables’ (they go behind a couch to fill in that drop hole there) against a wall and me against the table. Less distance to pick stuff up and I couldn’t lean forward and do the ‘juggling dead run’ until I learned where to toss and could repeat it.
VERY PROBABLY date night yep.
I don’t get why unicycling and juggling are so strongly linked, but for years (I don’t think it’s happening any more) there was a unicycle ride around campus at the juggling festival. It makes sense to me that the juggling club has a unicycle, but not that the juggling festival attracts non-juggling unicyclists.
