Today’s cartoon should have a few of you saying “AH! I Knew it!!”, and hopefully, more of you saying “Oh, I see where this is going…”
And if I’m doing my job… You’ll get to keep on saying that.
Bonuses to line the golden parachute. Yep.
So, yes, Lowell can probably retire if he rides it out long enough to get a check or two more. Hehehe.
Wow, consulting fee/negotiating fee… I did call it.
Don’t really want to burn down Outdoor Galore – all the bike tires inside there would get you nailed for air pollution. Better to quietly collect everything in your basement, and then have a fire sale.
Some of us, alas, will be disappointed it’s not more a “fewer villains, more competing interests” story, but most of us will keep reading anyway. Because it is the kind of story it is.
oh boy, gotta love how she is being pretty…snotty about it sincerely.
it’s all “I don’t care, I get bucket loads of money…I am happy and everyone else can go BEEEEP themselves.” LOL
You apparently have never been ‘sold with a business’. I have. More than once. Take the severance if you are so lucky, take the new position (if you are luckier) and try not to gloat (if your old job was better than anything at the new place and they have it written you get your old quirks and perks) if it actually ended up being a step up to do the sale and move. (done combos of all three)

Here’s my rhetorical question though… What does he think will happen if his plans went through… What with all the stuff he’s attempting to do to get the big wigs and so forth in trouble? He’s attacking a house of cards built on a domino set-up. No matter what he does, it’s going to tumble and his precious will be tossed back into the fires of Mordor before he knows it.
And the king will get the elven lady and live happily ever after in his little indie sporting goods shop.
The boy picked the wrong bed time story to cosplay in and the wrong side of the plot line to fight for. Everybody knows the “little guy” always wins in these things… That he’s always the hero.
… Sorry, been watching too many movies in my bid to fight the evil overlord, Emperor Insomnia. Just ignore me. [slicks away back to the shadows]
