Bob: “I didn’t know that I had to call myself on the phone to get included in the count. So, does this make me a referee, or a competitor?”
Hubris: “Consider yourself a spy hidden in with the bankers.”
Bob: “So, a participlant?”
Don’t count too fast. Der Tag has not cracked a ray of gloom yet. Those numbers will all change.
Waiting for it to be socked in so solid the birds have to part the clouds to fly, about 200′ ceiling and those dark wooly things just so pregnant with the rain that all you have to do is heave a pebble up there and you’ll be building pontoon arks with 55 gallon drums within an hour….
I am a big fan of quality cartoons (which is why I’m here, right?), so today is a real bummer. Stone Soup has gone to Sunday only comics. *dirty word* One of the problems of living forever, I guess.
Of course, I have most of the books, and those of Foxtrot, Calvin, and Pickles. Plus the classic Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, and Prince Valiant. And the single Buckets volume, and Hubris Book One. Only the really good stuff (what there is of it).
I had a talk with John Lotshaw last weekend. The next Buckets book(s) are to be got together very soon. The next Hubris book has never-before-seen content, so it’s taking a while to put together. I’ve actually considered whether I could do a Kickstarter, which would pay me to stop all the other projects and just put together books ’til I’m caught up, but it’d be really depressing if I couldn’t make the target amount, y’know?
I hear ya … I’m about 1/6th of the way to my goal … but having just done a 20 hour work day for “Elections Canada” and made a ‘bonus’ from them, I should cover a bit of my stay in the institution I’ll be going to at the end of November. Or I should say – cover storage fees for my belonging while I’m in the institution. Maybe even some of my phone bill, so I don’t have to get a new number when I get out.

Well, then, you can always do a potato salad Kickstarter…
Well, there’s still Patreon……
