    yay long over due bob is finaly returning hopfully refreshed and back to his normal self at last and the way lowel is smiling something tells me he is up to trouble that will back fire in his face and he will be going to visit his friends the racoons again.

    As soon as I saw that last panel, I went, “WAHOOOOOOO!” I don’t even need to see the whole face of “Character who’s back and you’ve been waiting for” to know that he’s fully recovered from the shell shock that had set in last time we saw him, and which precipitated his departure.

    Yet I’m not surprised that he’s back (or nearly), because first, I was all but certain that he would return eventually, and second, I more or less figured that Paste’s reference to him not too long ago amounted to a foreshadowing.

    In other news, Cthula seems less creepy and hideous than usual. Y’all may remember what a dish she fancied herself to be in her imagination; her portrait here suggests that once upon a time she may well have been quite attractive. It also occurs to me: Can it be, is it possible, that a kinder, gentler Cthula is in the offing?

    Now that is a scary thought.
