I haven’t done the WNBR idea justice in the strip, only mined the surface strata for some funny bits. Consequently if you wanted to know how to do one, or what they’re like, or when and where they really are, I haven’t been any help at all. But, I know at least one reader is a WNBR participant… and he or any others that have participated are more than welcome to comment and let readers know about the reality of the things.
Comic strips and reality aren’t a great mix. Not the point, really.

we had an event here in a sports shop, saying that everyone coming COMPLETELY NAKED, and it was winter, could get fully dressed without paying.
I have seen some pictures from the security cameras of the event, and it was a success yes. BUT most people you see at those events are the people that make you BEG FOR BRAIN BLEACH personally.

I was told by an admittedly iffy source that it was halfway between ‘nice’ and ‘choice’… but it could just be a squiffy teen colloquialism for ‘nice’ that’s supposed to sound… I dunno, Mobster?
At least in Australia, it’s from an Australian TV comedy called “Kath and Kim”. It’s the word “nice” said with a ‘bogan’ accent.

If that’s true, that is one portmanteau that would never have occurred to me — and it’s not one that I cotton to, either. Though there are many that work well (e.g., bodacious), others sound as if you’re just forcing your hand at cleverness, and this is one of them.

Ok, I’ll bite. The WNBR (World Naked a Bike Ride) is a protest bicycle ride against dependence on fossil fuels, an advocacy of cycling safety (drivers, can you see us NOW?), and body acceptance.
It’s held in dozens of cities around the world. Some are small rides of a few dozen people, some are massive. Portland, Oregon has about 10,000 riders. Generally, Portland, London, Chicago, St. Louis, and Philly are the largest. Numbers are increasing every year.
No, it’s not uncomfortable at all. It’s bare as you dare, so from full starkers to dressed. Lots of body paint and protest slogans in evidence on the riders.
Often, there’s a pre-ride and post ride party. Some rides are daylight, some are evening.

Sounds cool. But I couldn’t do it myself… Not just because of physical reasons but well, since this Is a family friendly comic, also because of physical reasons.

put some pants on or at least what ever you sleep in paste. unless your going to go commando in bed too.
A lot of guys DO sleep commando. My spouse does… he has the emergency shorts by the bed in case he has to evacuate or something from a sound sleep.
