So this guy, a musician/artist type who was very influential when I was in high school, died today. I did a little caricature to put on a Facebook post about explaining to my kids that when he sang about ‘1999’ it wasn’t a throwback thing, he was singing about a future we almost couldn’t picture, it was so far away.
And after I did the little digital caricature, I was asked to do a physical one.
Here’s both. Whattaya think?
I like the physical caricature.
Very nice work.
I’d like to put them in my little red corvette.
Long stories about me and the purple one.
May he be resting in peace.
Nice work, Greg.
They are both great. I am always amazed at you caricature artists to make a jumble of lines, both curvy and straight that all at once don’t look like the subject but at the same time so much do.
I drive by Paisley Park to & from work everyday (at least until they closed the turn lane) and have never seen so many purple balloons in one place. I think he would’ve liked them, especially the physical one.
