     Hmm. That doesn’t seem very constructive or instructive. What can we say that might give a little insight? How about this… “Scratching the surface” has, as all puns do, two meanings. So. I see the actual scratching of a Surface Pro going on, but not a metaphorical ‘scratching of the surface’. If the writing was so clever that Walter was ‘scratching the surface’ AND ‘scratching the Surface’ at the same time, it would be a very very admirable cartoon.

       Bin says Windows and has MS logo; last time I bought a copy of Windows it was on a little memory stick… Do they still make disks to scratch the surface of?

         A ‘Surface’ is MS’s tablet/laptop computer. It’s the one that works with a pen or a mouse or a detachable keyboard. Like an iPad, only they call it a ‘Surface’.
