I think we can all agree that Dusty did not plan for this moment.
I’ve always pictured Dusty as a petty schemer who doesn’t scheme past the bit where everyone is impressed with whatever the current scheme turned out to be. She leaves the stuff that comes after to sort itself out.
I think I might have the same failing.
I also think that phrase is difficult to say for people like Dusty, who believe themselves to be singular and very, very “special”.
But I could be wrong. Dusty could just be an angry boss who likes the paycheck better than the work.
Dusty intentionally decided to turn Durnell into a “frenemy” in order to get him to buy her show. It’s not his fault if she’s the one that put the target on her *own* back…
“Mountain William”
LOL… That took me a few… hours…
Looks to me like Dusty is the kind of boss who wants the credit for any success without doing the work. (Or am I thinking of Enis?)
I’ve read this comic from the beginning more than once. When Dusty first appeared I had no idea she’d turn out to be so nasty.
Has Kelley always had a sign on his door that said “Go Away” and I just missed it?
If Dusty wants to be the star of her show, she’d better learn about reaping what she sows.
Besides, every one knows Durnell has far better star potential.
