Greg, was the turkey in the video… dead and cooked first?
The video featured a dead turkey, of course. That was more than enough to make sure the class learned the correct posture for high braces and rolls. Ick. Also, I think doing that to a live bird on video would get you hunted down by several different authorities and thrown into a pit of overstimulated PETA demonstrators.
Shame, really, some people really *need* the positive enforcement of a visceral demonstration like that. I.e – “I thought you were just exaggerating when you pulled the bone out like that.”
Especially if you’ve EVER had a crack crinkle pop injury; that makes me wince to think of it. As long as the turkey is no longer able to gobble and been plucked, roasted or not, it can be a decently graphic way to put the point home. Nikki will probably sleep all the way home in the jeep.

Of course, a LIVE turkey having his leg pulled off could very graphically transpire the sheer pain of that experience.
Theoretically.
On the other hand, if you are that kind of person who is able to do that, you shouldn’t aspire to be seen, doing that.
Or heard, for that matter.
I think we have all proven that we get the joke now! Anyone who thinks Kara might have been talking about a live turkey, raise your hands. Now smack the back of one with the other. Anyone who thinks that Kara is deliberately worrying Nikki ’cause that’s the way she teaches, settle back in your chair and get yourself a cookie.
I’d rather have an adult beverage and enjoy the show….
