Deb Rebel was after me in the first OutdoorFest to do more with the Nematode thing. I didn’t then, so I thought I’d make more of it this time.
Don’t look up nematodes, by the way. When you see them on ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’, they’re not so nearly creepifyingly horrific as when you find out you might have them parasitically hanging out inside you right this second.
So, nematodes are nature’s form of all-day suckers?
Can’t tell, is that my ponytail?
Or my grey hair?
Nematodes really are nasty things that can create all kinds off health issues. I’ll do all kinds of crazy things (9 years total in Marines) but that sounds insane. As such I’ll be cheering on my teammates as loud as possible.
“It’ll be repulsive; repugnant; infested with vile, fetid bottom feeders slithering around and depositing their slimy, oozing remnants all over your algae slathered body.
…Glorious, isn’t it?”
I’d guess that the bearded character is me. And if I was drunk enough, I’d probably do the muck race. Provided I had a salt water bath and antibiotics afterwards to get rid of the leeches.
I believe you mean Tardigrades …
Head and Shoulders Shampoo liberally applied to your legs after wading your lily pond the first time in the spring will make them come off. A veteran pond owner, does not fear muck. Copperheads maybe, but not much else.
The rumors of my death are almost not exaggerated. I am finally on the mend and one of my friends let me know about this one. I have a few or several months to catch up on, but by the same token, I HAVE ALL THAT KEWL STUFF TO READ !!!!!
Welcome back! Missed you in the Comments section!
Glad you feel better, whatever it was sounds not fun.
My small lily pond is mostly tadpoles at the moment. The big one is goldfish and one VERY noisy frog.
I get nightly wades with a net, pail with lid, and holding a mini-maglight in my teeth. There’s a place a few miles away I dump them out after daylight. My frogs are big and scream like a furious four month old with a full diaper. No delightful croaking or ribbits.
Thanks, glad to be back
