This cartoon is sort of an experiment. There isn’t one single “I get it” joke and punchline, but a large number of sight gags. Some are smallish, and now that the file has been prepared for the web, hardish to see. Sorry about that, but the experiment teaches me and you what we’re likely to put up with here on Hubriscomics, right? So for this time, squint and see if you can find a few funny bits you especially like.

High praise indeed! You know that MAD is an animated cartoon variety show on Cartoon Network or Nick now? Coool. As for this cartoon… When I pitched Hubris to the syndicates, I wanted to do all the Sunday cartoons like this- giving readers something to sit and enjoy for more than the two-point-eight-seconds they usually give to the comic strips. I was told that it would be better for me to do something with a more typical one-joke-one-punchline arrangement.
