Okay, little feedback needed here. Today’s cartoon is newspaper format. That means it’d fit neatly into the spaces that newspapers and syndicates decided they need cartoons to be.
Now, since Hubris is a webcomic, I could have (still can, I guess) redesign the whole thing to take advantage of the fact that it’s on a webpage. Instead of a series of panels running horizontally at the same height, would YOU rather see a clever use of a tall panel where Hubris can fall and fall? Remember that you’d have to scroll down to see the whole thing. Would the novelty of a more dramatic panel arrangement help or hinder your enjoyment of a webcomic?
Click on the comments section below and say a word or two about that, if you have a minute. Thanks!!

I think you should definitely use this medium in different ways. You shouldn’t restrict yourself to newspaper-styled comics when you’re online!
In the words of the immortal bard, “Scrolling is teh sux0rz”. I prefer it this way actually, though I do understand that artistically, the impact is greater as a vertical panel.
Pay no attention to me though, Steve Jobs probably wouldn’t.
I like it as it is … it does give great impact (I’m sure his knees will feel it) as it is … I vote leave it. 😀
Have fun. It’s a web page. The expected norm is fine and all, but there’s lots you can do. Perhaps do both. I can see this cartoon lengthwise as a fantastic banner ad for Hubris. If he ever wanted to do that. Did I mention, I thought this cartoon was about me at first…
Newspaper format comics leave very little room for the artwork. That’s one of the great things about webcomics.
You’ve got more space for the art. I say go nuts. Fill the whole page. A little scrolling won’t hurt anybody.
I would love to see a scroll type, just to see how it would impact.
vertical definitely.
