But the universe has spoken and ‘que Sera, sera’! Onward and into chaos!
There should be a good manager person around, that can handle it all. I did something on about this level a few years back. I had enough experience at doing things under my belt I rolled with it. Hubris, has done this before. He should know what bit him last time and can plan around it. Still, there should be someone in the tribe than can sort this. Heh. Hubris can do this.
Whenever I reread a book (or a comic strip), what strikes me is how much I’ve either forgotten or overlooked the first time around. Last year, I went back to the beginning of Hubris and went through it all once more, rediscovering many things — including the genesis of Stanky Creek. It also strikes me that BOHICA is even more applicable now. Poor Hubris — if the sequel to Stanky Creek is anything like the original, he’s going to have an exceedingly sore sum before it’s all over. Or, possibly, before it’s even begun.
Yeah, that link only cost me half the afternoon! After one good story line we run into another, and another, and so on…
But I enjoyed reliving the insanity, so thanks (I think?).

For years I thought that was the “Agony of Defeat” from the opening segment of _Wide World Of Sports_ , where Sabich was doing the giant slalom and Longet was target shooting.

So, where does Hubris live? Google shows an actual Stanky Creek bike trail in Tennessee
Hubris lives somewhere that also has a Stanky Creek, and mountains, and whitewater rivers, and… well, if you took all the best bits from all over Tennessee, and had it all in one conveniently sized place where you didn’t have to drive for seven hours from Memphis’ Stanky Creek to the Ocoee River, let’s say… That’s the kind of place where Hubris lives. It’s probably near your place. That’s all I know.
I like to think it’s in TN because we really do have great outdoors areas and it’s not often we see non-hillbilly representation.
That’s okay. Hot doctor will be there, I’m sure.
