Well, I had hoped to post this about twelve hours ago, but you know how that goes. Or, if you didn’t know- now you do.
Visiting Scott Stantis is great. He’s one of the sharpest people I know, and would make a much better business of Hubris than I have so far. But with his shining example, maybe I can get myself into a better gear. Or maybe I’ll just make an effort to hang out with him more. It’s a worthwhile thing to do. If YOU know any editorial cartoonists, go ask ’em how their day is and listen to the answers.

Kewl… welcome back to the trenches, Greg!
Awwwww we get a returning character. Let’s hope this isn’t the ominousness cloud glowering over there waiting to float over and rain on the parade…
” If YOU know any editorial cartoonists, go ask ’em how their day is and listen to the answers.”
“The world’s going to hellinahandbasket, I have SO much good material to choose from!”
Wait, so is the dude network is an example of anti-social networking?
Paste doesn’t remember Nikki, though.

ooh this is GOING TO BE very interesting
oh this is going to be real fun and hubris will also through in some lobsters too. i give it a few days then something comes up due to paste and she quits. or bob returns.
Maybe, but a few days in the Hubriverse could last a year in ours and you can bet it will be fun while it lasts.
Ooh, what she said….
Why so little confidence in Nikki? Yes, Paste can be a little (yet big) PITA, but Nikki strikes me as someone who is not easily cowed. Nor easily fazed — an invaluable quality for anyone planning to spend considerable time in the Hubrisphere as opposed to merely passing through.
I seem to recall Greg saying that originally he had only meant for Bob to appear briefly — yet look how long he stayed on! I’m sorry that he left, and hope that he will return some day, if only to visit. But even if he doesn’t, I will only say that I’m so glad we had this time together.
And lest you think this is bordering on sappy, fear not. Given the volatility and unpredictability of the Hubrisphere, there’s bound to be more weird and wacky along the way, probably sooner than later. I won’t presume to say what form it will take or how long it will last. My general rule is never to assume that something will happen. Or that it won’t.
