I don’t think it ever occurred to Mal to examine the places other than Work where emotions might come into play.
‘Til now, that is.
And there are just so darn many of them to deal with all of a sudden…

I look forward to the look on his face, when he figures-out what a caber might be, & the ‘form’ he’s expected to employ, in order to toss it.
Frankly, I’d give 50/50 odds that both his shoulders dislocate before it gets airborne. It’s Nature’s Way of protecting his spine from otherwise snapping loose from his pelvis under the pressure.
Does Mal even know what a caber is or how you toss it? Shelly may end up having to pick up the pieces of a very broken Mal.
It is wonderful to watch a person become more human. Mal has a very self centered POV. The fact that he will likely hurt himself as his own failings reemerge is a tightrope of schadenfreude and caring. I have an honest desire to see him happy. Shelly certainly deserves happiness. Let’s hope they keep out of their own way.
Live for the moment, Mal!
’cause that’s about how much longer you’ve got, at this rate
That poor, misguided fool couldn’t pick up one end of a caber, much less toss it.
HE IS the caber to toss…
Caber toss…this should be good.
Hopefully when the other contestants toss him as a caber it will be in her direction 🙂
Welp at least we know to bring in the blind folks for future pages. XD
Can we get medics to the caber toss area before Mal goes, please?
i feel torn… which is what Mal will be feeling when he tries to pull this stupidity off…
it’s between not wanting to watch an obvious train wreck that’s about to happen or being like Gomez Addams and throwing the switch to make it go faster.
