What’s the phrase? “Too many cooks spoil the pot?” or is it “broth”? I dunno. This crowd looks like they’ll do fine, though.
They’ve just got to all start having the same conversation.
Nah, not really.

Duck Brand Duct Tape is mid grade. I’d paddle a boat of that. If my arm went through and the guy on the left taped it, he’s getting a new gentle lesson in taping and doing a twill lay. I will NOT duct tape him to something or give him duct tape bracers (if you have arm fur, this is a cringe to think of). Yep, drowning for the cause, WAHOO (I can use a new grill anyways)
Yesterday was three hours on the phone, this morning another hour. I don’t have the plague or at least I didn’t at the time they did that swab from hades. PHEW! I’m still ready to drown and ‘die’ for the cause…
I gag just thinking about that swab. Thanks for the update.
Glad you are on board. Try not to go overboard.
At least we’re never bored.
No. as long as we have Hubris (and Greg) we’ll never be bored!
I think the expression is to “tape your ducks in a row.”
So, yeah, a duck tape kayak should be fine, given enough ducks.
They should find at least ONE cook…
plus, ducks FLOAT! best thing to make a boat, yup
During World War II, Johnson & Johnson developed an olive drab version as a handy way for American soldiers to waterproof their ammo cans. According to the company, soldiers dubbed the product “duck tape” because it forced moisture to flee “like water off a duck’s back.”
Troops realized that the tape was good for more than just keeping their powder dry, and after the war, it caught on as an easy and effective way to seal, among other things, heating ducts. Johnson & Johnson even began offering a silver version of the tape specifically for this purpose, giving rise to “duct tape.”
Now you know.
Mom always said it was STEW that got spoiled by too many cooks.
They forgot.
The deal was to use duct tape and cardboard!! Tape alone will not work. Oh well just remember your personal floatation gear.
However I am intrigued by the wagon usage in the paintball battle.
They be planning a Thunder Run!!
On Mythbusters they made an outrigger canoe with just duct tape and wood for framing that held up for hours on the ocean.
Exactly….got to have a frame of some sort.
They even made a parachute. They called the landing survivable but only used a dummy.
I did an in the field, emergency build with cardboard and duct tape to replace a trailer fender back half, and mounted the signal light on it too, got us through 15 hours of pulling AND survived three passes of the Highway Patrol (looked good enough they didn’t stop us…)
I noticed some of the shaping gave way. Have to teach them how to do spiral twist rope out of the duct tape to get some structural on that thing…
