I used to have weird conversations like this. I used to find myself kayaking with a bunch of others who couldn’t care less about the Superbowl. We’d be in the middle of some interesting creek somewhere, and one of the paddlers would say, “It’s a shame we have to miss the Superbowl for this” and everyone else would say, “That was today? Huh.” And the restaurants would be fairly empty on the way home.
Gotta say I’m with Hubris on this one… I’d rather do something that got my blood pumping than coagulating. But then I never did get the point of Watching sports instead of playing them if you have an able body.

best time I ever drove trough Chicago was on Super Bowl Sunday. The Art Institute was empty and the roads wide open.
I know many people love living there.. but thank god I do not.

My saying is “Why would I want to watch football, it’s just men in tights touching each others balls.”
Well, to be fair, that may be the exact reason why some LIKE watching it… 😉
