Some of those Disc Golf hotshots come with twenty, thirty, even fifty discs. They’re racked in a sort of a golf wheelie, or in kinda travel luggage. There are probably names for them, but I don’t know them. I own a bunch of discs myself, but it’s because of long, slow acquisition, and not because I’m a discerning player. No, I have a set of three I tend to carry and play with, and I’ve got a bunch of extra discs that have been gifts, and found in the woods, and bought on whims… which means if you’re ever in the area of Memphis, you don’t have to bring your own discs. I’ll loan you a handful.
But I’ve only got three putters, so if we’re playing more than three of us, somebody’s gonna be putting with a mid-range.
I can’t putt in golf, and my aim with flying discs is only good for dogs that like catching them, so I’ll watch ya’ll Greg and tote the adult beverages.
Heh on the hotshot.
Patrick, making friends and influencing enemies. How’s he at the 50-yard dashes?
WHY am I wondering if the guy is blind.
I drive past a city park with one of the courses every day. It’s weird but all summer I’ve never seen anyone playing it. There are people there but always at the baseball fields. You would figure at least once someone would be throwing some discs.
Disc golf? You mean, Frisbee? 😉
Oddly enough, the company that owns the name Frisbee not only doesn’t make disc golf discs, but actively discourages the use of their word for the game. On the other hand, Ultimate Frisbee is very popular and that might be the reason… I don’t know.
I remember in ’77 the first time I played disc golf it was called Frisbee golf. Times change.
Generic Novelty Flying Disc Golf?
I called my aunt on the UP the other day and she was asking me what disc golf is. Her granddaughter who lives with her was visiting a cousin down south around Minneapolis and they were going to play disc golf. She knew what a Frisbee is, but had never heard of playing golf with them.
Has it occurred to anyone else that that caddy could almost be Lowell’s sister? No, you read that right. At first I thought ‘brother,’ but then I took a closer look; I don’t think I’m just imagining that I see boobs…
