So the back-and-forth is happening.
Wonder where that’ll lead.
Probably just where they two participants want it to lead, right?
Riiiiiiight

The title of today’s strip was shown to me as a rebus. A rebus is not a kind of monkey they do testing on. It’s a picture puzzle. At the time, I was working at a screen print operation, and the other artist on staff was told to be more efficient. He said he’d make a sign to remind him.
It was a big letter ‘A’, and a fish, an ampersand, and a letter ‘C’, if I remember right. I was very amused.
That has nothing to do with anything today, except that I’m amused by Durnell’s idea of efficiency.
The best laid plans of mice and men go oft awry.
And those of birds and dudes, too.
I think that’s the main failing of so many plans. You don’t know the outcome of a lot of your actions, what with adding in everyone else’s actions and plans and random chance and all the rest.
So we wind up with people, and companies, and governments, and religions and they’re all saying, “We need this, so we’re gonna do this in order to make this.”
And while everyone’s planning and working toward ‘this’, then ‘that’ happens. Which wasn’t in anyone’s plans because everyone was planning for success, and nobody was planning on ‘that’.
So… we’re steering away from Wukilars for a while. I figure we’ve worn them out for now. But hey, second day of the ‘Fest! Something hadda go banana whip crazy, right?
Cassowaries. Crazy. Like if an Emu were imitated by Skynet in order to infiltrate the bird world to kill the Ostrich John Connor.
