I worry about hand-lettered signs around town that say “We buy houses” and have a phone number scrawled underneath.
Who the heck that buys houses puts yard sale-style signs out, and if they do, do you wanna sell them your house?
It all sounds a little desperate. At least people that mail you their postcards ponied up for a stamp.
If someone is underwater or in foreclosure, a quick sell beats the hit to the credit rating. That is what those sort of places want to prey on. Suck the person’s equity out of the house on the way.
Meantime, the Roomba incident must have gotten around….
Those signs are up there with the WE BUY GOLD! signs. Who has mountains of precious metal laying around while they wonder how to pay for their groceries?
it’s literally as he JINXED HIMSELF when he mentioned about his house in the middle of a park or something that attracted the attention of THOSE guys.
I love the Tudor style house, where most people don’t.
I love parquet flooring where most don’t.
I HATE stainless steel appliances, and would prefer even avocado green over stainless.
I hate open shelves in the kitchen, and subway tiles.
BUT other people like them.
