i’m confused about the corn one… if you want corn, it’s best straight off the cob. especially grilled over an open flame with those little scorch marks and lots and lots of herb butter…
gawd, i wish it would warm up enough to grill outdoors right now. [sighs]
I don’t get the first one. He’s got a sock on before he puts the shoe on, the shoe is untied (presumably he’s going to tie it once it’s on), so that eliminates the two things I could think of.
I got it because of an old “All In The Family” episode. Archie and his Son-in-law get into an argument about whether the right way to put on your shoes is “Sock and a sock and a shoe and a shoe” or “Sock and a shoe then a sock and a shoe.”
Ha, that’s funny because that is where I got my inspiration. I was channel surfing when I saw All In The Family on and it was that episode. Archie and Meathead were arguing about the order in which you put your socks and shoes on. I now think about that episode every single time I put my shoes on. Normally I would have done both socks first then my shoes but I’ve switched. There seems to be one or two fewer steps involved in the process. ?
Thank you. I tend to not wear socks inside unless it’s cold, but even then I agree that one sock one shoe first is odd. (I refuse to guarantee that I don’t do it myself though).
I’ve never eaten corn on the cob before. I always take my shoes off, It doesn’t matter really which way the toilet paper is in this house, and my dad usually calls us when were in the bathroom, driving. Sleeping, cooking, or busy in general. XD
I’ve been known to dress one leg at a time. Sock, pants, shoe, then start with the other leg. Mostly, though, I do both socks, pants far enough to get my shoes on without standing up, then shoes, and finally standing up and pulling my pants the rest of the way up.

I think it’s cleaning off one half completely/rotating the cob instead of going sideways.
In complete agreement about the scorch marks.
Good comic Troy, especially like the details like the hairy legs in panel one.
You’re supposed to eat corn on the cob left to right out right to left like a typewriter or like Fred Flintstone. ?
sure not the thing you want to hear. yep.

For me … the shoes are at the door, my socks are in my bedroom.
People who wear their shoes in the house are insane.
