We’re doing the Bob Newhart thing again today.
If you don’t know what that means, you go get a copy of ‘The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart’ in whatever format you like. I think the original release was on wax cylinder. It’s good, though. Someday, when all albums are sold by instantaneous thought transfer, people will still be like, “Well, I guess I gotta buy the Bob album again…”

$30,000 on a lemonade stand, and you’re the only one licensed to sell water and sugar on the side? That’s GOLD baby! That Pure, Solid GOLD! If mom won’t pony up, then you’re justified in doing a kickstarter.
There’s always someone who wants the world for free yesterday. For $30k that is a bargain. Considering the first event went so well I would have figured more like $150k… just saying.
The lemonade stand out of a wagon may go over very well actually.
[Greg, hope you’re improving. We are here. At least we didn’t go down the exact same time and it hit us differently]
aw, that’s actually sweet to hear that )
The Button Down Mind was the first LP I bought when we got our Hi-Fi [a massively heavy thing]. I still get a good laugh when I remember the driving instructor bit. Alley Driving.
Listened to that in school in driver’s ed. Hilarious.
Kudos for Hubris, he understands, and didn’t just hang up when he found out it was a kid on the other end.
I think the kid will do real well with his lemonade stand…until he runs out, about ten minutes into the first event.
“Oh you wanted sugar too? That’ll be an extra dollar.”
I think that’s an ol’ Dennis the Menace gag.
Water $1
Lemon in Water $2
Water, Sugar, Lemon $5
Water, Sugar, Lemon, combined $10.
Only steal from the best.
Stop making me feel old.. I already feel old.. I just dumb it down with pop culture. Stuff like this reminds me that I was around in the Sixties to SEE IT!!!
