You know the famous movie ‘The Thing”? Β Any of them, the old one with James Arness, John Carpenter’s version, or the more recent one- they’re all based on an old short story called “Who Goes There?”
After you read that story and then see the way it was handled in the 50’s version of the film, you wonder what the hell Hollywood was thinking… or why they were incapable of thinking.
On the other hand, that movie did really well, so what do I know?
Not many books make the big screen intact (or short stories).
That doesn’t look like no wukilar, maybe wuki’s are allergic to horses and will give them a wide berth?
He always was a pretty good Wukilar-spotter! Might be a good companion on that there hike! π
Hey Greg, put my name on this one too! Thanks! π
The horse should come out with its own line of craft beers. Call them “Soupy’s Ales.”
Iβm drinking an Apricot Ale as we speak! π
OOOOH! Good one! But I don’t think there are too many of us around who remember watching him.
I was thinking I’d need another hint to the joke.
I remember watching him.
Showing my age, I guess, as I got that one immediately. Nice one, Curtis! Always remember there being a knock at the door, then he opens it to find just an empty pair of shoes…
Hollywood hasn’t had a decent new movie in years.
Hell, look at Star Trek – all recaps since 2009!!
Look at most others now being “remade” … yeesh.
Never seen the films. Reading the story was enough. That and “They Bite!” are enough horror for my whole life, thank you.
Our cats got fleas, we’re in a horror story of ‘They Bite’ right now… sigh.
Are you a wukilar?
Neigh.
