Just a heads-up. Gonna be fixing up some overdue issues on the website. Might have trouble. Sorry, ahead of time, if you can’t see things suddenly over the next few days.

So the attempt at love interest #2. Aka he might like Dr. Biner but Dr. Biner isn’t going to be interested???????
Kara: “I.e. – An idiot.”
so you an idiot of Lowell’s proportions in translations?
Knowing Paste, Kara shouldn’t have to ask that last question.
I work in an ER. One of our paramedics drove himself in after fracturing both bones in his lower leg. Idiot.
It depends. I have had to walk/gimp after imbedding a needle in my foot to the clinic (two blocks) for removal, shots and antibiotics. I have driven myself with a broken foot with a clutch because it was my only option. Or taking the city bus at last run (11 pm ish) to get off at the bridge and walk into the ER with what seemed to be a heart attack. (my insurance would not pay ambulance and that was three month’s salary, I took the bus). You do what you have to. Again I’m giving the dude a pass for probably shock.
Yeah, this comic arc was inspired by more stories than I can really comment on. I bet we all know someone, probably more than one, person who ignored or worked with/around some injury. My father took the ends off three fingers and still decided he was good to drive himself to the doctor. Bloodloss? Fainting? Bah.
Would this be a good time to mention that I tore the &%^$ out of my ankle this morning? Darned Voodoo Cartooning.
Do NOT drive yourself to the hospital or clinic. You do NOT want to be the butt of jokes from the people here. Have someone else do that, and don’t fret over looking like a big baby.
As long as you got there this morning, Greg. You don’t need to do field research on stuff like this though, honest.
Because never mind the doctor, the nurses will harass you mercilessly for doing pulling a stunt like that. Signed, An Orthopedic Nurse

Seriously? I slipped in that reference two years ago. Thought I was being really, really clever. Hubris readers, and specifically Obi in this case, amaze me with how much you guys recall.
Recall some obscure reference that has no day-to-day use, check. Remember what I need to get at the store or where my phone is, dial tone.
Awesome!! I totally forgot that one….
My husband fell off his bike and a truck ran over his foot. He _walked_ himself to a meeting that night. Next day at the hospital, it turns out he has 30 broken bones in his foot. But the moral is a bad one because our doctor friends think he might have re-aligned everything in his foot by walking on it.
