I grew up having to hear the music from ‘Annie’. You know the song… and you, like me and my friends, probably made up spoof lyrics… Sing with me: “Theeeee Sun’ll Blow Up Tomorrow! Bet your bottom dollar there’ll be Chaos… and Sorrowwwww! Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I fear ya, Tomorrow- You’re onlyyyyy a day awaaaaaay!”
Just me, huh?
Nah, I fortunately am an older fart than you Greg. However… it’s nice to see what’s so important to everybody as they go into the groove for this fest. Hehehehe
Never saw Annie. Never heard the music. Just blessed that way, I guess.
Bet Paste never saw it either, but he’d be happy to make up fake lyrics, too…
can’t say I know it either, neither the newest version on Netflix.
but yeah, here Paste does the MOST important job right? hehe
[chuckles] I hadn’t heard the spoof before.
But since folks are sharing, I actually saw Annie when it was in the movies as well as saw a theatre production of it.
Back on topic of the comic though…
I find it telling that the only one who may be seeing this fest thing from the right angle is the youngest. Adulting quite often sucks like that. [nods]
I wound up taking the young lady who lives nearby to see Frozen when it came out. She loved it but fortunately was not in to the songs as much as her friends. She got really annoyed when everybody was singing “Let it go.” To get back at them we worked up some lyrics that took the song in a much different direction.
I will not post the entire thing but the chorus goes:
Let hair grow, let hair grow I want to eat some pie.
Let hair grow, let hair grow I hope the asphalt’s dry.
I eat Spam off a TV tray.
Let my phone ring on, I watch cable anyway.
Her friends hated it.
Well, David’s done *some* work. Those “Annie” people have a lot to answer for, it seems…
Angel? Mom doesn’t know her son very well.
Not all angels are in Heaven…
Hey Greg! Just hoping to get your attention here, and some ideas moving. I have a brilliant-and-autistic son with anxiety issues. He’s 10, and his little sister will soon be 7. She has her own challenges,, and is amazingly smart as well, and very probably should be tested as well. I’m a “get out there and LIVE life, d@##!t!” person and mom. And their dad is out of the picture in all supporting ways. He has ALSO been diagnosed with autism and anxiety (currently crippling).
Guess what? I want Hubris to be a ROLE MODEL!!
NOW, if THAT didn’t get your attention, I’mma hafta arrange an “in person interview”, kinda like Feelin threatened with a cast iron skillet awhile back! (And with just as much *naw, not REALLY” as her. No worries! 😉 )
I emailed you awhile back, and not sure you ever got it. My “tech” is MASSIVELY out of date, and doesn’t always play nice with others.
🙂
Thanks much, Sir!
and with alll the forces working together next is the result being a successful out door fest again though given hubris history the thing will have every one going why did we do something like this
