Honest enough, not many landlines exist any more. Usually you get a grace before they cut you unless Lowell is living from cutoff to cutoff. So if the lights go the water will be next…. and the gas.
Well, technically Bob’s logic is a bit flawed.
If a house phone is one that the house uses, then what uses a cell phone? – Cells?
A mobile phone? – Mobile homes?
Does only Elizabeth Smart use a smartphone?
Maybe Lowell should call his a “pants phone”. (Or, a raccoon phone…)
If you listen to the ads (at least in my area) the phone companies also sell home security systems, ie check on your kids when they get home from school, find out why a door opened when you’re all at the mall, someone fall and can’t get up, etc. Sorta like your house making a call.
