This one goes out to the guy in front of me in the grocery line the other day. Nice jacket. You know who you are.

man, growing up in upper middle class Seattle, there’s so much northface, but it was only ever that same fleece jacket with the nylon patch, a couple girls had light blue or pink, but otherwise they were all black, so good luck telling them apart, not that anyone ever took them off, the point was to wear one and be cool right? I can’t think of grades 7 through 10 without seeing northface jackets, I left the school shortly after grade 11 began but the nightmares still haunt me.
man.. some of the crappiest hiking boots I ever bought where N-face. My feet and those boots did not get along at all and they started falling apart after 2 months
When *I* was growing up, it was “Starter Team Pull Over Jackets” with the front pocket. My Maple Leafs jacket was worn day in, and day out!
.
NOW … it’s “Canada Goose” (No, I don’t have this stupid $700+ jacket!) but you see morons getting all upset if you touch it.
Don’t forget your Uggs boots. My absolute favorite trend are the Hunter rain boots. Girls look so ridiculous in them, but you never know when you might step into a mid-calf deep puddle.
Northface is actually good outdoor stuff? Crazy – I’ve always avoided it figuring if it was trendy it couldn’t be cost-effective.
I have a pair of steel-toe work boots for, you know, working outside when there’s a possibility of dropping something heavy on a foot. For everything else outdoorsy (that doesn’t purposely involve swimming), I wear combat boots. Genuine military issue combat boots. They last forever, have great ankle support and I find them incredibly comfortable.
