So here we have an example of a comic strip that didn’t fit. You will probably have noticed that Hubris and Kara rarely fall into any kind of Domestic Tableau. I wrote this comic, and a follow-up that you might get to see next Thursday, and then looked at it and said, “Huh. That doesn’t work. They didn’t go there.” and I scrap-piled it. I just can’t conceive of Kara taking on the domestic Wife/Girlfriend traditional role, and I can’t conjure up a proper interaction from Hubris if she did.
But having said that- here’s the cartoon anyhow-
ZING! But so true. OCD meets laid back… and it’s fun to see anyways. I doubt the two will ever go there.

Make them misbehave again!
Perhaps Hubris and Kara will never “fall into any kind of Domestic Tableau” (at least not in the way that most would think of it), yet I can still easily imagine them engaging in the same or a similar exchange in their present incarnations. Yes, I realize that certain elements from ‘Because It’s There’ were altered later. But even in this version, Hubris and Kara still sound to me much as I have always known them.
